12.30pm: Chocolate Cookery Workshop with Kate:
Kate's chocolate workshops are designed to help participants learn about the history and science of chocolate as well as have some great fun designing your very own chocolate box of goodies, worthy of some of the greatest chocolatiers. Prepare yourself for some wonderful creations using chocolate from varying continents and of varying qualities.
All workshops are delivered by one of our fantastic tutors who have many years experience in running events such as Hen and Stag parties, birthday parties, team builders and much more.
2.30pm: Pub Lunch @ Shakespeare's Head:
Take a 90-minute lunch break whilst your chocolates set in our cool room, and choose any combination from our famous sausage and mash menu (vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options aplenty), included as part of the workshop price.
4pm: Chocolate Tasting & Beer Pairing with Beer & Brew:
At Beer & Brew, our aim is to help people understand and enjoy beer. We run tastings, socials and courses that are open to all, and private events like Hen and Stag Parties. Beer & Brew is run by Robert Parker, an Institute of Brewing & Distilling (IBD) qualified Beer Sommelier, one of around only 160 in the world.
He knows lots about brewing beer, but his passion is for tasting. He loves sharing his knowledge in a fun and entertaining way, and helping people develop an appreciation for lots of different beer styles. There’s no snobbery or preconceptions – it’s just about making really good beer as accessible as possible.
As part of this masterclass, we'll learn what beer is, how it's made, and how to taste it like a pro. Then the important bit, combining amazing beers with heavenly chocolate, and find out what flavours work best together and get to grips with the basics of food pairing in general.
